This Easy Hot Fudge Sauce is rich, velvety, and irresistibly chocolatey—ready in just 5 minutes! It's the perfect topping for ice cream, brownies, or any dessert craving a decadent chocolate drizzle. Makes about 1 cup of fudge.
- 1 cup chopped semi-sweet chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup salted butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon instant espresso powder
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine semi-sweet chocolate, heavy cream, butter, sugar, cocoa powder, corn syrup, espresso powder, and salt.
Stir continuously until everything is melted, smooth, and glossy. Avoid boiling; gentle simmering is ideal.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
Allow to cool slightly (about 5 minutes) to thicken.

-
Chocolate Quality: Using a high-quality semi-sweet chocolate bar will yield the smoothest, richest sauce. Chocolate chips will also work well if that's what you have available.
-
Adjusting Consistency: If the sauce becomes too thick after cooling, gently reheat it to reach your desired pourable consistency.
-
Espresso Powder: This ingredient deepens the chocolate flavor without making the sauce taste like coffee. You can omit it if preferred.
-
Storage: Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to two weeks. Warm gently before serving.
